Question
When I use WildTools, setting the attributes for one tool (e.g. 2 point, blue pen color) applies those attributes to all the WildTools. How do I assign a unique attribute to each WildTools tool so they work similar to PowerCADD’s tool palette?
Requirements
WildTools version 5 and PowerCADD 2000 v5.0.12 and OS? 9.2.2 minimum. WildTools v7.1.3 and PowerCADD 6.2.1 running on Mac OS X Panther or newer recommended
Background
WildTOOLs uses a Style Tools palette and preference. With the Style Tools preference ON, attributes are assigned to a specific style tool 'position' and all tools in the WildTools palette get their attributes from that position. With the Style Tools preference OFF, each WildTool can have unique tool attribute settings and they behave similar to the core PowerCADD tool palette.
What To Do
To turn WildTools Style Tools preference OFF, do this:
- choose Layout Menu > Wild Tools
- Uncheck the Use Styles box shown in the picture below
- press OK
With Style Tools unchecked (off), you can assign a unique attribute to each tool. However, unlike the PowerCADD tool palette, WildTools do not support the use of the Shift Key to assign attributes to all tools at once with cmd>Style Tools checked Off. To do that using WildTools you must go back to the WildTools preference dialog and check cmd>Style Tools back On.
We hope that helps
