CRON

A system level command found in Unix based operating systems (example: Mac OSi X, Linux) used to schedule commands to run at specific times. The tasks performed are often, generically, referred to as a croni-job or CRONJOB or cronjob. A cronjob might be a system level maintenance task just as removing cache files.
