Requisites: AutoCAD r14 or newer , PowerCADD 2000 file saved as DWG file format
Description :
PowerCADD dimensions, labels and normal text
objects or text contained in groups can all be changed
globally in AutoCAD r14. The update can be performed
without selecting any objects in AutoCAD and can
significantly simplify coordination with AutoCAD clients
or consultants.
IMPORTANT
These steps have been confirmed in AutoCAD r.14.
They may also work with newer or older releases of
AutoCAD but this has not been confirmed.
Special formatting (bold, italic, etc) is NOT retained
when you save your PowerCADD drawings in DWG
format. Any special formatting (bold, italic,
underline, etc) would require MANUAL Editing in
AutoCad.
To open the test files files and see the updated fonts
you will require a copy of Acad r14 or equal.
This technique updates ALL fonts of a specific Style
Name with NO warning dialog. UNDO will NOT
work. TO Undo changes you will have reverse the
steps outlined here or Revert to a previously saved
version of the file.

Tip
All DWG files saved from PowerCADD 2000 have
Font Style = PC_Mono_Text
Font Name / Type Face = Courier New
This is consistent for ALL fonts, regardless of what font
style (ie. bold) or font family (ie. times) was used in your
PowerCADD drawing. As such globally updating fonts in
AutoCAD from PowerCADD files can be automated
using AutoCAD LISP routines (LISP routines are
beyond the scope of this How To)

Regenerate the AutoCAD drawing to see the
changes.
You can also modify other attributes globally
including Font Style (bold, regular, etc) height and
other effects using this technique

Confirm the update is complete by selecting a text
block and using AutoCAD's List Command
